
Peace Learning Center, an Indianapolis based non-profit organization is seeking a full time Facilitator/Coordinator.

Reports to
Associate Director
Primary Function/Purpose
Coordinates and facilitates peace education to a variety of ages and communities through social emotional learning, equity, family, and restorative practices workshops and training.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate social emotional learning, equity, family, and restorative practices workshops and training.
- Ensure quality delivery of curriculum
- Assist in collaboration, creation, and review of curriculum
- Manage overall logistics of learning sessions with client
- Build strong relationships with contacts and other potential clients
- Model and maintain PLC values: Relationships, equitable practices, antiracism, inclusiveness, learning, sustainability and accountability.
- High comfort level working in a wide range of environments
- Demonstrate respect and appreciation for all individuals, regardless of their background, race, age, gender, religion, physical or mental ability, and sexual orientation
- Continuous development of new knowledge and improvement and of facilitation skills
- Support Directors or Learning and/or Associate Director as needed/requested
- Other duties as needed or assigned
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work or related field preferred, or two years direct service experience facilitating or as a restorative justice practitioner. Position Competencies/Requirements
- Will model and use Peace Learning Center’s values of healthy communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
- Attend training and professional development as required/requested or needed
- Prompt with excellent time management skills
- Have proficiency and experience with online research and general computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Have professional writing, editing, proofreading and communication skills
- Detail oriented, organized and able to work independently and collaboratively
Other
- Regular access to a vehicle is required.
- Some evening and weekend work.
- Ability to transport supplies to facilitation site.
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Programs and Zoom.
