What is your talent or passion? Bring it to the Peace Learning Center and we’ll find a way for you to make a difference in the lives of Indianapolis area children.  Peace Learning Center offers volunteer opportunities for groups and for individuals:

  • Individual volunteers age 16 and older can serve as everything from program facilitators to general volunteers for day-to-day tasks needed to keep our nonprofit operating smoothly. In fact, we have had volunteers launch new programs based on their past professional experiences. New volunteers will interview with our Director of Engagement to determine the best placement and to ensure a mutually beneficial experience. Click for Individual Volunteer Interest Form.
  • Corporate volunteer groups can serve as part of our “Peace Mentor Day” program or “Peace Ambassadors” program. For Peace Mentor Day volunteers spend the first half of the day training with one of our program facilitators and the second half of the day working directly with students at our facility in Eagle Creek Park. It’s a great introduction to how peace education can make a difference in any community. Peace Ambassadors allows volunteers to learn facilitation skills while investing in the youth of our city. This 6-week after-school program matches business/corporations with a local elementary school and trains volunteers to facilitate programming that focuses on conflict resolution, communication, and team building. Click for Group Volunteer Interest Form.

What are some of our volunteers doing? Click here for more information.

As a registered nonprofit, Peace Learning Center relies on our generous individual and corporate donors to continue offering innovative, new programs. You can make a donation online or learn more about tax-deductible opportunities to support the center by contacting Director of Engagement, Jay Horan, at jhoran@peacelearningcenter.org.

Looking to help us with an in-kind donation of supplies we need for our in-class and summer programs? Check out our wish list.
