Last Saturday, Peace Learning Center welcomed Spring in the best possible way: outside, together, and on purpose.

Under sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 60s, 20 to 30 participants gathered for our Seasonal Shifts Spring Equinox Labyrinth Walk at the Peace Labyrinth in Eagle Creek Park. The evening offered exactly what many of us need this time of year—a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and step into a new season with intention.
Guests were invited to walk the labyrinth at their own pace while a Native American flute player serenaded the group with five different instruments, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere across the space. With the warmth of the sun, soft music in the air, and the first full week of spring underway, the event felt like both a celebration and a reset.
For many, the labyrinth offered a meaningful pause after a long winter. “A labyrinth gives people permission to leave the noise behind for a little while,” said outgoing Advancement Director Joe Gunn, who first championed the vision for this event last year. “Especially in the first week of spring, it becomes a powerful way to reset your mindset and step forward with more clarity, calm, and hope.”
We’re grateful to everyone who joined us for this peaceful seasonal gathering and helped make the evening such a success. Sometimes welcoming spring does not require a big production. Sometimes it just takes a path, a sunset, and a willingness to walk forward.
