What we do

What we do 2015-03-02T10:51:39+00:00

The Peace Learning Center works with Pre K- Adult groups from schools, corporations, non-profits, churches, clubs, and teams…just to name a few! We can customize our programs to meet the needs of your organization. Our offerings vary and can occur in just one session or over the course of several years. We love to host workshops and events at our beautiful, secluded Eagle Creek Park location.  However, Peace Learning Center staff can also bring customized programs to your site.

It all starts with an organization reaching out to Peace Learning Center by completing Program Interest Form. Click here to complete a Program Interest Form.

Once the Program Interest Form is submitted, either our Adult or Youth Program Director will follow-up by meeting with you or scheduling an observation to ensure that the program plans are aligned with your groups’ needs.  We then discuss costs, scheduling, and other logistical details.  Fees for services are determined on a sliding scale.

You can also find tools you can use right away in your classroom, home, or workplace by visiting our online Toolkit which is updated on an ongoing basis with resources like our free online Play4Good game that helps children learn and practice healthy ways to deal with put downs and bullying situations.

Teacher Renewal Retreat – Lighthouse Academies®

“I just couldn’t let the day go by without thanking you again for making our afternoon one that we will not soon forget.  Our staff was able to recharge, reconnect, and learn in such a beautiful peaceful setting.  It was just what we needed.  We learned, laughed, and had meaningful conversations that we would not have otherwise had.  The sessions and activities were fun, purposeful, and fit in perfectly with our goals around socio-emotional development.  In addition, you made the process for setting up this professional development afternoon easy while taking into account our needs to make the day a huge success.  I don’t know when I’ve heard more positive feedback on professional development sessions.”

Kim Randall, Principal K-8

New Tech Magnet School – IPS Arsenal Technical High School

“When professionals come in and interact with our students it is very beneficial.  It gives the students a better  understanding of what will be expected of them as they move forward in their educational and professional pursuits.  In addition, it lets them know that their learning, skills, and ideas can be relevant to people in the real world.   In addition, it opens up the four walls of my classroom and extends it out into the community.”

Ivy Tech Diversity Professional Development Series, 10/9/13

“The Lawrence Township school community would like to take this opportunity to thank you for partnering with us to make our Elementary Summit a great success. The staff development for our teachers was innovative, informative, and a great learning experience. Comments from teachers were overwhelmingly positive and they appreciated the unique approach to a day of learning.”
