PLC Third Thursdays: Building a Foundation For Wellness

The different areas of our lives are connected, and each one plays a role in our overall well-being.


 

In this interactive Peace Learning Center workshop, you’ll use the Wellness Wheel to explore the eight dimensions of wellness:

  • Emotional
  • Social
  • Occupational
  • Environmental
  • Spiritual
  • Financial
  • Intellectual
  • Physical

Through a guided self-assessment, you’ll identify areas of your life that may need more attention and explore practical strategies for strengthening each dimension of your well-being.

You’ll then use what you’ve discovered to create a personalized action plan designed around your own needs, priorities, and goals.

Participants will leave with:

  • A clearer picture of their overall wellness
  • A better understanding of the eight dimensions of wellness
  • Practical strategies for creating greater balance
  • A personalized action plan you can put into practice right away
  • Tools for building a more sustainable approach to your well-being

With a BS in Marketing and MS.Ed. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University, and over 15 years of dedicated service in education, Rebecca brings a unique blend of strategic thinking and deep pedagogical expertise to her work. Her journey in education has been multifaceted, having served as a mentor teacher, coach, and specialist in social-emotional learning within Indianapolis schools. Throughout her career, Rebecca has been deeply committed to fostering holistic growth and development in students and educators, recognizing the critical importance of not only academic achievement but also emotional well-being. This commitment led her to her current role as the Learning and Development Specialist at the Peace Learning Center, where she feels fortunate to lead initiatives that build positive culture and relationships within schools and organizations. Rebecca is a native New Yorker and currently resides on the northside of Indianapolis.
