A place for reflection, connection, and peace open to everyone in our community
About the Labyrinth
Labyrinths have appeared in spiritual and cultural traditions around the world—from Indigenous medicine wheels and ancient Greek designs to medieval cathedrals and modern faith communities. Unlike a maze, a labyrinth has no tricks or dead ends. Its single winding path invites quiet reflection and renewal.
Our outdoor labyrinth is part of Peace Learning Center’s commitment to creating spaces that foster mindfulness, community, and healing.
How to Walk the Labyrinth
Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, here’s a simple guide to walking:
-
Pause at the entrance. Take a deep breath. Set an intention or simply clear your mind.
-
Follow the path inward. Walk slowly and mindfully, one step at a time.
-
Rest at the center. Breathe. Reflect. Release.
-
Return when you're ready. The same path will lead you out.
-
Carry peace with you. Notice what you’re taking from the experience.
A Soundtrack for Stillness
We’ve curated a gentle, reflective music playlist to accompany your walk. Feel free to listen as you explore or revisit it anytime you need a moment of calm.
Honoring Roger Frick
Our labyrinth was made possible through the support and vision of longtime PLC advocate and former board member Roger Frick. Roger has been a guiding light in our community—offering time, insight, and care to help this project come to life. He works statewide helping to maintain labyrinths in his retirement after a dedicated career to the community as the past president of the Indiana Association of United Ways.
