Peace Builders (Summer Enrichment)
Helping youth develop the skills that make peace possible. Peacebuilders' enrichment experiences help young people sharpen their social-emotional skills through playful, collaborative, hands-on activities. Our peacebuilders experience is designed to serve existing summer camps and programs as an experiential day field trip. Summer field trips are typically hosted from 10-1pm, but can meet your camp's needs anywhere between 9-5 pm. Social Justice Leadership Camp
Build community. Identify power.
SJLC is the perfect opportunity for open-minded, dedicated, and adventurous teens to cultivate leadership skills and develop their power as advocates for social justice.
This camp will cultivate your leadership skills, introduce you to amazing people, and support you in developing your power for social justice. Following the camp, the group will meet monthly to continue our work for Social Justice.
The camp does have a sliding fee from $10-$300. However, if your family cannot afford to pay, please indicate that on your application. We promise that the price will NOT get in the way of your ability to be chosen for the program.
Here are some quick facts about the program:
Cost: Sliding Fee Scale from $10-$300 (includes daily snacks & lunch)
Ages: 13-19 (at the time of camp)
Camp Dates: July 8th-19th, 2024 (no camp on Sundays)
Camp Time: 9 am to 4:00 pm
Camp Size: 7-15 participants + 2 adult and 1 or 2 youth counselors
Main Location: Central Indianapolis
Camp Themes: Who are you? Team Building, Social Justice Leadership, Meet up with SJ Leaders, Community Tour, Racial Justice, Economic Justice, Gender and Sexuality Justice, Using your voice for power, Self-care, and Final Celebration!
